I am almost potty trained! Well, technically, I am potty trained fully at home...as long as I have no pants on. But once I get underwear on, I get a bit confused. Mommy took me to the store and let me choose my own to make it "more fun", so I choose Diego boy briefs. Mommy rolled her eyes, and pointed to the princess underwear, but I quickly said "no" and turned up my nose to those girlie things.
Me, modeling my new Diego briefs, and dinosaur pajamas (again, from the boy section, of course!)

Next I have to learn to be fully potty trained outside the house, but with our trip to England coming up soon, I am not sure I feel comfortable with that. I might have to wait until after, before I fully commit to doing away with the diaper.
It was decided by the powers above me (that being mommy and daddy) that I should no longer be napping in a pack'n play (even though I love it), and decided to put my bed in my room. It started last week, and I actually complied without much complaining. The most amazing thing is that I now have the entire room to play in when I wake up, and not just the confines of a small pack'n play. I think I could get used to this. But, at night, I am still sleeping securely in between mommy and daddy. Think they will let me do that until I am 10? If I have anything to say about it they will!

(notice Silvio got in the picture too)
The powers above also decided to put me in school! Yes, you heard me right, at only 2 1/2 year of age, they thought it would be a good idea to drop me off somewhere 3 mornings a week for 2 1/2 hours a day with 7 other children my age. I am now an official student of Montessori Children's House in Kenosha. I could tell mommy had a hard time with it. She kept saying she wanted to wait until I was ready for Kindergarten (at 5) before I left home, but I think daddy talked her into it a bit. I am now in my second week. My first week, I would not let mommy leave me...but shhh...don't tell her, I was really just doing this to make her feel better, and that I needed her, and that she wasn't loosing her baby just yet. But this past week, I was so excited to hang out with my new friends, I was OK with mommy leaving me there. And then best part...when mommy picks me up....I run right up to her and yell "mommy" and give her a hug...that really makes her feel good! I met so many fun new friends there, and some just moved from Chicago too, that I think it will be a good experience for me.
Going to my first day of school:

Mommy and daddy's friend Cornelia has been offering to babysit me on Monday nights so mommy and daddy can have a "date night". They have been going to the movies and to dinner, but I think I get the better end of the deal. I have lots of fun with Cornelia, and am always happy when I know I am going to see her.
We have our tickets to England!! I finally get to meet my grandpa George...I am so excited! We leave November 19, and come back December 5th. I know daddy, being the tour manager he is, has the 16 days fully packed and planned already. I look forward to meeting all of my family, and daddy's friends.
