Mommy and Daddy woke me up early that morning, and then put me down for a nap early...I thought that was strange...but I was sleepy, so I could not fight it. When I woke up to the sound of another little person downstairs, mommy forced me into this silly dress. I put up a real fuss, and cried, but she still got me into it. When I came down stairs, I saw the living room ceiling covered with balloons!! And there were stars hanging from everywhere. And daddy had drawings everywhere of my favorite words. It was amazing! I was in shock, I couldn't even play with my guests until I worked out what was going on.
My friend, Justin, and his little sister Charlotte were over, and then Lily came over too. We had such a great time. Mommy had put a silver tablecloth on the table and it made this loud crinkly noise...but Justin and I decided it needed to be on the floor not the table. We had mommy and her friends scrambling to get the food off the table, so we would not make a mess. Once we triumphed and got the silver tablecloth on the floor the fun really began. We played in and on and under and around it, and we still did not get bored.

Then mommy and daddy brought out my cake. It was huge, and on top was a blue sky with stars and a moon. And a candle that they insisted I blow out. I don't think mom was crazy about the blue part of it, but my friends and I loved it. We mashed our hands in it, and rubbed it all over ourselves and everywhere. Like last year, I still love cake.
Then mommy made me take my dress off. Then Justin also wanted his shirt off, and we were free to run around and be even more silly. We played ring-a-round-the-rosy, jumped off the step stool onto the table cloth, and wrestled each other.I got many, many really fun presents...and think they will keep me busy for at least...a week! :p
I think we have lots of leftovers, because all I have seen mommy and daddy eat all day today, and feed me is pizza and cake....when will it stop? But, I guess I should not complain, it is better than a lot of alternatives.
Am I really going to get a day like this every year? I can't wait until I turn 3! Though, I think mommy and daddy don't feel the same way.

Today it was really warm out, so we spent grandpa's last day visiting outside by the lake. We went on a long walk, had some ice cream, and looked at the ducks.
ps - this morning, i woke up with a dry diaper, and went pee pee in the potty!!
